Overview

As a core member of INNOCEAN’S Experiential Department, the National Manager leads a cross departmental team to ensure the delivery of experiential and sponsorship marketing projects with high quality service, so that all client needs are met on time, on scope and on budget.

The primary purpose of this position is to lead the operational and logistical support for the Genesis Product Specialist Program from the position of overall account lead. The National Manager will drive the group’s initiative projects related to the Auto Shows National Product Specialist and Brand Ambassador programs. Along with planning and executing events, managing travel schedules and booking for 23+ product specialists will be part of the overall job function, as will identifying, recruiting and training new and current Product Specialists. The National Manager will be required to work on special projects, maintaining project plans, tracking completion of program deliverables and other project milestones, as well as various other client requests.

Working closely with the Director of Experiential for the Genesis brand, the National Manager will be tasked with overseeing the Genesis brand Product Specialist team, and their respective duties across all Genesis Auto Show and Experiential activations.

Principal responsibilities include leading the team in developing and executing a season-long staffing plan for the Genesis product specialists, budgeting, pre and post-event communication, reporting and working cross-functionally with other internal agency departments supporting the programs, including the National Manager for the Hyundai Product Specialist team. Working closely with the Promotions Director and team, this person will act as a key client point of contact and oversee the day-to-day management of the program.


Duties & Responibilities

  • As a leader in the agency, the National Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the agency’s Genesis Product Specialist team, focusing on excellent service delivery to our client
  • Act as an advisor to assigned client(s) by developing short and long-term communication strategies
  • Take an ownership role building the client’s business, generating new strategies and anticipating integrated marketing needs
  • Ensure that all projects are executed to plan through managing the internal team, agency resources and workflow process
  • Fully understand the client’s business and maintain current industry knowledge
  • Development of a positive, partner relationship with all client contacts
  • Ensure that cross-department project teams produce all client work with the highest level of quality, ensuring that creative is on strategy and executions are flawless
  • Provide council to team and client
  • Responsible for developing, tracking and reconciling project budgets
  • Responsible for working with the IWA Wardrobe Coordinator and designers to deliver current fashion trends for the PS wardrobe that is relative and also on brand
  • Effectively manage staff compensation by completing and approving payroll and reconciling staff reimbursements and all job costs
  • Communicate and delegate tasks to the Program Coordinator
  • Recruit, vet, interview, and potentially audition new PS staff based on the brands needs
  • Manages team staffing counts for each show, ensuring there is adequate coverage
  • The National Manager must travel to major auto shows, and various B-C kit level shows to support the GMA clients as well as the PS staff while on site.

Requirements

  • A passion for experiential marketing
  • Minimum of 6-8 year’s experience in a project management and client service role in an agency with a focus on experiential marketing and auto shows
  • Previous experience working on an automotive account in a management of staffing capacity preferred
  • Demonstrated creative and critical thinking with the ability to build programs from concept through to execution
  • Ability to advise and mentor both internal and staff teams on all issues related to event staffing
  • Solid understanding and ability to apply integrated marketing strategies
  • Track record of building strong long-term client relationships
