Overview

Candidates will be expected to be able to take on the role of media supervisor and assist the Associate Media Director with the day-to-day management of the media planning and implementation efforts for IWA’s general media accounts (Wienerschnitzel/UC Davis Health). The role will be defined by, but not limited to: (1) Development and execution of communication strategies and media plans, (2) identifying and implementing innovative ideas that will strengthen and differentiate brand positioning, (3) collaborating with other marketing disciplines to successfully deliver various communication and promotional initiatives, and (4) motivating and managing the media planners and assistant planners in setting strategic media solutions for developing the media plan. In addition to the above, candidates will also be expected to implement daily tasks in support of the media product, manage regular reporting, develop media recommendations and POVs, and actively pursue market intelligence to stay current with media industry trends.

The Media Supervisor will lead the Planner and Assistant Planner and support the Associate Media Director in developing media strategies and plans for multiple, diverse brands (Wienerschnitzel, UC Davis Health). The ideal candidate will be passionate about media and have a deep background on innovation in the space. They will have strong media knowledge, embrace new go-to-market strategies and demonstrate superior client relationship skills.


Duties & Responibilities

Key Role Responsibilities

  • Developing the strategy, development and execution of all media plans for several of IWA’s General Accounts
  • Learn and embrace all phases of the clients’ marketing objectives
  • Understand the competitive landscape of multiple lines of business
  • Maintain an "always current" perspective with market conditions and evolving media landscape
  • Manage media planning and implementation (Cross-channel)
    • Coordinate campaign development across partner agencies & clients
    • Manage optimization, approval changes and coordinate with cross-discipline team (media, account, creative, production) when needed
    • Manage and analyze performance data reporting with internal team members and clients- ensure reports are insightful and apply actionable recommendations that meet and improve on client business objectives
    • Drive consistent coordination across Media and Analytics Teams
  • Manage workload and growth of support staff on a daily basis
  • Ensure productive working relationships among team members and between agency departments, other agencies, clients and media partners

Management Responsibilities

  • Individual will be point person that effectively manages the Media Planning and Implementation for the general accounts
  • Work closely with peers within IWA and partner agencies, specifically, to advance plan, integrate, and align with Strategic Planning, Creative, and Account Service and partner those inputs with thoughtful media insights and programs
  • Leverage all existing media and engagement partnerships and, when aligned with the ideas platform, maximize their value

Fiscal Responsibilities

  • Individual will be point person that implements media strategy and planning implementation for general accounts
  • Responsible for ensuring that all budgets, tracking documents and media highlight info is issued in a timely and regular basis

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of integrated multi-media strategy and planning, including an understanding of ALL media channels (Digital Video, TV, Social, Display, Events, Sponsorships, New Technologies, etc.), and proven experience developing integrated programs from dry-erase board concepts to execution.
  • B.S/B.A. preferred – preferably in Advertising/Marketing/Communications
  • Must have a solid understanding of media math
  • Knowledge of Media-related research, planning, buying & digital related resources
  • Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel and Power Point Expertise)
