Overview

The Media Director will lead and develop media strategies for Genesis. The ideal candidate will be passionate about media and have a deep background on innovation in the space. They will have strong media knowledge, embrace new go-to-market strategies and demonstrate superior client relationship skills.

This is a short-term opportunity covering during a leave.


Duties & Responibilities

  • Overseeing the strategy, development and execution of all media plans for Genesis Motor America
  • Learn and embrace all phases of the clients’ marketing objectives
  • Understand the competitive landscape of multiple lines of business
  • Maintain an "always current" perspective with market conditions and evolving media landscape
  • Manage media planning (Cross-channel)
    • Coordinate campaign development across partner agencies & Genesis/Hyundai Marketing
    • Support Innocean Media Team and manage optimization, approval changes and coordinate with cross-discipline team (media, account, creative, production)
    • Manage and analyze performance data reporting with internal team members, Canvas World Wide and Genesis/Hyundai Motor America - ensure reports are insightful and apply actionable recommendations that improve Hyundai business objectives
    • Drive consistent coordination across IWA Media and Analytics Teams
  • Manage workload and growth of support staff on a daily basis
  • Ensure productive working relationships among team members and between agency departments, other agencies, clients and media partners
  • Individual will be point person that effectively manages all media planning relations with Genesis Motor America
  • Individual will develop relationships at all appropriate levels within Genesis Motor America and Hyundai Motor America, including: marketing, product planning, PR, finance and senior management
  • Individual will be point person that effectively manages Genesis Motor America’s Media Planning/Buying Agency of Record (Canvas Worldwide)
  • Work closely with peers within IWA, specifically, to advance plan, integrate, and align with Strategic Planning, Creative, and Account Service and partner those inputs with thoughtful media insights and programs
  • Leverage all existing media and engagement partnerships and, when aligned with the ideas platform, maximize their value
  • Individual will be point person that obtains media planning parameter and approvals from Genesis Motor America
  • Responsible for ensuring that all budgets, tracking documents and media highlight info is issued in a timely and regular basis

Requirements

  • 10+ years of integrated multi-media planning, including an understanding of ALL media channels (Digital Video, TV, Social, Display, Events, Sponsorships, New Technologies, etc.)
  • Proven experience developing integrated programs from dry-erase board concepts to execution.
  • Must be highly motivated, analytical, creative and have strong organizational and interpersonal skills
